Davenport Speedway opens Friday! Governor opens up remaining 22 counties, allowing the green flag
DAVENPORT, Iowa (May 13) - It did not take long for Davenport Speedway promoters Ricky and Brenda Kay to hit the send button on emails and social media.
The track is opening this Friday May 15.
Governor Kim Reynolds announced earlier today that guidelines will be eased for the remaining 22 counties, allowing race tracks to open with no fans and limits in the pit area. K Promotions, the Mississippi Valley Fair and City of Davenport jumped on the opportunity to open the gates for the 2020 season.
The only way to view the races is to watch on Doneright.tv . The link will be up later this evening or early Thursday. Broadcast will begin around 6 p.m. Friday.
Action will take place on the wide, racy 1/4-mile dirt oval in all the regular IMCA classes - Late Models, Modifieds and SportMods, along with Street Stocks and Sport Compacts.
